In none of the PM interviews, including Republic TV etc, did I see a single interviewer raise questions from a Hindu perspective. E.g. no one even asked about freeing of Hindu temples or religious discrimination in schemes. Correct me if I'm wrong. 

State of media, even today. It also shows the failure of Hindus to take those issues to mainstream discourse. 

We have an organizational failure, and a failure in shaping the narrative. 

Don't expect any political party to take these issues seriously till they become part of the national narrative.

When Vinoba Bhave led Bhoodaan movement in 1950s for large land holders to voluntarily give up their land for re-distribution, “Hindu Upper Caste” wholeheartedly came forward and gave up 47 lakh acres of land!

Bihar, UP, Rajasthan, Odisha “upper caste” Zamindaars alone made up for over 75% of that land redistribution for poor.

As opposed to Bihar (6.4 lakh acres), Odisha (6.3 lakh), Raj (5.4 lakh), UP (4.3 lakh) - Punjabis (Jats) only donated a meager 5,167 acres - and less than 1/4 of it was actually redistributed. Today Punjab has the worst land holding equity.

#Urdu is the language of the heart for younger gen N. Indians. They tend to express love, pain, and even spirituality & wisdom in Urdu. Shuddh #Hindi is just considered nerdy. Used in schools, satsangs & sarkari daftar. Urdu captured Bollywood and won the match.

Urdu targeted and systematically took over Bollywood very early on. Whereas Hindi ignored pop culture and has always depended on state power and took over schools, bureaucracy and religious satsangs (but even here failed to become the language of choice for spirituality).

Urdu is not a language but a creole. A creole of Hindi with a preference for Arabo-Persian loan words for standard vocabulary and according phonetic adjustments of native Indian words. 

So, are they the same “language”? Like any Creole is a form of its substrate mother language, Urdu is also a form of Hindi. Different scripts is the smaller matter. 

Is Urdu intelligible to non-Urdu native speaker of Hindi? Of course the market level talk is, but as soon as one speaks a slightly more elevated register, such as the Urdu of classrooms or literature, it is not very intelligible without a dictionary.
