LOL. Btw, one doesn't need tradition to understand Veda. In fact tradition could limit to a narrower interpretation, but one needs very high yogic realisation to understand the symbolic words of the Rishis. That's why Sri Aurobindo's Secret of the Vedas remains unsurpassed.

Honouring 'Safai karamchari' as "extra special" should go. It's Gandhian morality in essence. Sri Aurobindo criticizes Gandhi for it (Letters on Yoga - I). What He wants - 'minimising and eventual disappearance by scientific inventions of the need' for humans to do 'such undesirable work'. For clarity, I am not saying this should not have been part of the ceremony. I am saying, it will be good to keenly work in the way of light shed by Sri Aurobindo, and develop the perspective He provided us.
